What an awful coincidence.
It’s no secret that Lamar Odom has been through some srsly tough things in his life, and his divorce coincided with one particularly painful memory.
On June 26, 2006, L.O.’s ex Liza Morales called the baller and told him their 6-month-old son Jayden wasn’t breathing and to go to the hospital. Tragically, the boy died of SIDS, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
What makes this extra sad is that last Sunday, just two days after Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce, it was Jayden’s birthday and he would have been eight.
Lamar has talked about his son, and his loss before, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôI still remember the day├óΓé¼┬ªwatching [Jayden] come out, come out into the world. It was joyous, refreshing. [He] had really strong eyes. He would just kind of like watch me, and stare at me like he knew me from somewhere else… When [Liza] called me, she was like really frantic. She couldn├óΓé¼Γäót really speak. I was told not to go home, to go right to the hospital. And when I got to the hospital, they just told me that they couldn├óΓé¼Γäót revive him.├óΓé¼┬¥
So, so sad.
To commemorate the day, Miz Morales shared a precious pic of their adorbsies son Jayden, and said:
“Your due date was December 25th. Our gift came early that year, December 15th. But you also left us early, too early. Our hearts will ache for you till we our reunited. We love you and miss you baby boy. ♥Happy 8th Birthday Jayden♥#Heaven #Birthday #Love”
Hopefully Lamar has found a way to keep his spirits up in the midst of all of this and hasn’t turned back to drugs to cope.
And after waiting so long to get divorced, you have to wonder why Khloe picked that day out of all of them to file the papers.
She couldn’t have known about this, right?!
