Lamar Odom Is Reportedly 'In A Good Place' One Year After His Near Fatal Overdose!

It’s crazy to think it’s been one year since we were bracing ourselves for the worst following Lamar Odom‘s overdose.
However, according to a source, the former NBA star “seems to be in a good place” only 12 months after his near-death experience. In case you forgot, Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian‘s estranged husband was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after a drug overdose on October 13, 2015.

At one point, the KUWTK star was told Odom only had hours to live — so it was quite a shock when he overcame the odds. Nonetheless, shortly after his health scare Lamar faced some cognitive impairment, damage to his kidneys, speech problems, and even struggled with walking on his own. But that was then as the 36-year-old is supposedly trying to live a better life these days.
The insider told People:

“Lamar’s life has become a lot more quiet. He is moving back to L.A. from N.Y. and away from some bad influences. He knows he needs to be in a good place to stay healthy. A lot of what happened last year is a blur for Lamar but he knows he almost didn’t make it. There are so many people still rooting for Lamar ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ he’s a good guy. But it’s been very hard for him to keep his demons in check. He’s had a hard life.”

We have a feeling this Lamar confidant is referring to the drinking scandals which hit the press earlier this year. Sigh.

The insider continued:

“Now, Lamar seems to be in a good place. He wants to work again and he wants to be healthy. Everyone who cares about Lamar hopes there won’t be any scares again.”

Now that’s what we like to hear. Although KoKo initially dropped everything to help her former boo during his time of need, it appears as though this lifestyle transformation is all L.O.’s doing. A different source informed the mag:

“Khlo├â┬⌐ and Lamar have not spoken in months. It just got to be too hard. She will always care about him, but she had to finally move on and make herself happy.”

We mean, we honestly don’t blame her. Over the summer, the whole country witnessed Kardashian fret over the former Los Angeles Lakers player on the hit E! show. Currently, Khlo├â┬⌐ seems perfectly happy in her new relationship with Tristan Thompson.
Here’s hoping the rest of 2016 brings only happiness to Lamar and his loved ones. Stay strong, bro.
