Lance Armstrong Made His Girlfriend Take The Blame For A Car Accident He Caused?! That's What These Cops Are Saying!

Lance Armstrong is getting himself into some hot trouble, but hey, what do you expect from a guy who admits he’d totally cheat again to win a race?
Apparently back in December, the 29th to be exact, Lance and his girlfriend Anna Hansen were involved in a car accident after leaving a party at the St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen, Colorado.
After his vehicle was identified in the accident, Anna reportedly told the police officers she was driving and took the fall for the crash.
According to the police report, Anna said she lost control of the car and hit two parked vehicles. She then returned to the scene of the crime and told the victims she would pay for all of the damages.

Come to find out, that wasn’t exactly how it went down.
The investigators involved in the case were suspicious of Anna’s story and called the valet company that was at the party that night to find out who was behind the wheel.
The person working that night said they specifically remembered helping Anna get into the passenger seat and Lance got into the driver’s side.
Once the investigators went back to Anna to tell her the new information they found, that’s when things started getting a little crazy.
Anna supposedly was upset at this new finding and added a new addition to her story. She apparently said the two stopped at a market on the way home and changed seats, which now puts her into the driver’s seat.
BUT, that’s not the end of everything.
Just two days after her second interaction with the investigators, Lance’s GF changed her story again and admitted that Lance was in fact driving that night, but he wasn’t drinking or intoxicated when he was behind the wheel.
The police reported revealed that Anna apologized for lying to them.
She supposedly said:

“He was not intoxicated, and that was um, you know, I’m sorry I lied to you that morning but I was trying to make [it] sound like, well, I was driving because that was, just, I don’t know ├óΓé¼┬ª I was just trying to make something up at that time.”

This whole thing wouldn’t have been a big issue if the two just came forward with the correct information.
Upon learning that, Lance was given two citations for the incident and is due to report in court on March 17.
Wonder if he would’ve gotten that same punishment had he fessed up to the whole thing. It could’ve honestly been a complete accident — it IS snowy in Aspen that time of year.
