Laverne Cox is teaming up with MTV to premiere a brilliant documentary on transgender youth.
Airing this coming October, Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word follows seven different youths from around the country and the struggles they’ve had to endure.
What better way to bring awareness to the problems trans youth have to put up with than with an event like this!
But that’s not all!
After the documentary airs there will be a special one-hour live ‘Trans Forum with the Orange is the New Black star, SuChin Pak, and the subjects within the film where they discuss questions with the audience and social media.
The event will happen on October 17th, which coincides with Spirit Day!
But even before the film airs, Laverne will make a guest appearance on the show Faking It!
Such exciting news! We can’t WAIT to watch and learn!
