Law & Order: SVU Alum Found Guilty Of ‘Calculated’ Murder After Shooting Man 11 Times

Four years after being charged in the shooting of Tyrone Jones, Law & Order: SVU alum Isaiah Stokes has been convicted.

In 2021, the TV star, who’s appeared in several other shows including Blue Bloods, Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, and more, was hit with a second-degree murder charge relating to a fatal shooting in February of that year. According to prosecutors, a rift between Stokes and Jones started in October of 2020 after the victim kicked the television personality out of his birthday party following an altercation at a club in Queens, New York.

In a Queens District Attorney’s Office press release published on Monday, prosecutors claimed that “Intent on revenge, Isaiah Stokes placed a GPS on the victim’s car and tracked Tyrone Jones down to Linden Boulevard, where he ruthlessly shot the man 11 times as he sat in his car.” Jones tragically “suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest and was pronounced dead on the scene.”

So, so sad.

Stokes was arrested later that year in July as NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force carried out a raid at his apartment, uncovering “documents connecting the defendant to the GPS tracking device that was found beneath the victim’s vehicle.”

Last month, a two-week trial kicked off, which culminated with Stokes being found guilty of second-degree murder. District Attorney Melinda Katz said during the trial:

“This was a calculated murder. The defendant, a part-time actor, stewed for months after being thrown out of a birthday party for his own inappropriate behavior.”

Completely awful. He added:

“The jury has now spoken, and the defendant faces up to 25 years to life at sentencing for his criminal actions.”

DAMN.

Stokes’ sentencing is scheduled for March 21.
