And when it comes to her privacy, LeAnn Rimes takes things very, very seriously. Unless she’s the one doing the oversharing via Twitter. LOLz!
LeAnn’s been caught up in a battle with Kim Smiley, a woman accused of cyber bullying LeAnn and then recording an angry phone call from the country singer. Now, that battle is heating up because these ladiez can’t come to a resolution!
Criminal charges are reportedly pending in the case, but the two have apparently taken a stab at settling the civil case outside of court…
…and it’s gone nowhere.
A source revealed what LeAnn supposedly requested to put it all aside:
“LeAnn proposed a settlement basically forcing Kim and Lexi (her daughter) to apologize to LeAnn.”
But there will be no “I’m sorry” thrown out here! Kim reportedly shot down that offer and countered with one of her own, which was, in turn, apparently also shot down by LeAnn.
Considering LeAnn’s request included NO financial compensation, we think Kim should’ve just slapped an apology on it all and called it a day.
For realz, LeAnn’s got plenty of money to waste on this, and California is a two-party consent state, which means it’s illegal to record someone on the phone without their permission – although there are exceptions.
And we’re not sure this is one of those exceptions unless recording someone because they stole someone else’s hubby and you didn’t like that is an exception?
As for LeAnn, stay away from the phone…and Twitter.
