Well this is nice! Sort of.
In the first case in which a celebrity is taking Twitter haters to court, LeAnn Rimes wants a high school teacher to hand over $25,000 for recording a profanity-laden phone conversation without her permission.
Kimberly and Lexi Smiley have vowed not to back down, but if they do lose, at least the country singer will donate their money to charity.
Rimes plans on giving any money awarded to her in court to the LGBT suicide prevention organization, The Trevor Project, as her rep explained:
“Leann had always planned on giving any proceeds from the pending lawsuits to The Trevor Project. This is a cause she has always been passionate about.├óΓé¼┬¥
That’s a nice gesture.
Not as nice as just letting bygones be bygones and NOT suing a woman who made the mistake of answering her phone last March, but a nice gesture nonetheless.
