Following the horrible news of Lee Thompson Young‘s death yesterday, his TV show is now on an indefinite hiatus so that cast and crew members can grieve the 29-year-old’s passing.
Young played Detective Barry Frost on the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles alongside Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander.
On Monday morning after Lee didn’t show up to the set, producers called his landlord. He was later found dead in his apartment of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Lee’s long-time manager Jonathan Baruch confirmed the suicide in a statement, saying:
“It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning. Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends at this difficult time.”
Our hearts go out to everyone who knew and loved Lee.
