Leighton must be so relieved!
To recap, Leighton Meester used to generously give her mother $7,500 a month to help with her brother’s medical bills, but her mom claimed Leighton had actually agreed to $10K/month…AND didn’t pay up!
Then, Leighton went to court to have a judge declare the claims to be untrue, and as a result her mother Constance filed a lawsuit over “a non-existent management agreement,” “an alleged support agreement” and “an alleged settlement agreement.”
THEN last month, Leighton’s mother attacked her again, and blamed her for financially abandoning both her and her brother Lex.
Now, we’re pleased to announce that a judge has “accepted Constance’s decision to bow down,” and Leighton is “being allowed to obtain a default judgment against her mother.”
We’re just glad to hear that Constance has finally run out of money to pay her lawyer realized that she won’t win in court against Leighton.
Hopefully this is the last that we hear about any Meester Mama Drama! And hey, maybe one day these two will even reconcile…
