Lena Dunham was hospitalized on Saturday morning, and she will undergo surgery after having an ovarian cyst rupture, according to a report by PEOPLE Magazine.

The Girls star, who has dealt with health issues and what she has termed as “chronic conditions” in the past, is at an undisclosed hospital while her spokesperson Cindi Berger said:
“Lena Dunham has been very public with her personal bouts with endometriosis. This morning, she suffered from an ovarian cyst rupture and has been taken to the hospital. Lena will be undergoing surgery at an undisclosed hospital. We thank you for you understanding and hope that Lena’s privacy will be respected.”
Ugh!!!
Hopefully, she comes out OK and finds some relief.

Last month, she updated her Facebook page discussing some of these health struggles, but after a couple weeks, she was back to her normal self online.
Let’s hope that now, even though we don’t know how long she’ll be in the hospital, her recovery is quick and full!
