Lena Dunham found her way around Instagram‘s strict nudity policy by appearing in a topless picture (pasties included) right before she hit the Golden Globes red carpet tonight.

Her pal Jenni Konner posted the revealing snap, including the caption:

Luckily for Lena, the silicon nipple shields saved her from flashing areola on the world wide web AND red carpet!
For the slightly backless dress she rocked, the coverings were a must and probably the work of a savvy stylist.
We’d say it’s a win all around!
