We can NOT believe that intolerance like this exists, and this whole story makes us so sad and sick to our stomachs! We can’t believe there are people out there willing to assert themselves as such uncaring and unsympathetic human beings!
Here’s what happened! We spotted a tweet from adorable musicians Lennon and Maisy (proof of how adorable they are HERE) it said this:
“A close family friend has an autistic boy and this was an anonymous letter slipped under her door. This is real.”
What they posted was the image (above)! We’ve also included a larger version of the photo (below) so it’s easier for you to read.
The gist of it is that this terrible neighbor thought it was the right thing to do to give an anonymous letter to one of their neighbors — Karla Begley, the mother of 13-year-old Max who was diagnosed with severe autism at the age of 2 — completely condemning her for having a disabled child and how she should be ashamed of what the child puts the ‘neighborhood’ through!
Max, of course, can’t help it! Nobody can: not his mother, not anybody! That does NOT mean that Max is any kind of mistake or soulless monster that terrorizes the neighborhood! He’s a real person, and a CHILD.
Luckily, the family is planning on pressing charges! Good for them, because we bet the real problem with the neighborhood isn’t Max, but rather the intolerant person who wrote this abysmal letter!
We wish nothing but the best for Max and his fam!
