Liam Neeson’s Premiere For 'Cold Pursuit' Canceled Amid Backlash From His Racially-Charged Revenge Tale!

Well, we saw this one coming.
The New York premiere for Liam Neeson’s Cold Pursuit was canceled on Tuesday amid the controversy surrounding the decades-old, racially-charged revenge story he shared this week to promote the film.
Organizers for the dark comedy’s premiere announced the cancellation just hours before it was scheduled to begin.
In an interview with The Independent on Monday, the 66-year-old actor detailed a period of time nearly 40 years ago where he stalked the streets looking to kill any random “black bastard” who crossed him after learning a friend of his was raped by a black man.

The Northern Ireland native addressed the backlash in an interview on GMA Tuesday, insisting that he’s “not a racist” and only brought up his “primal urge” to get revenge because racism and bigotry are still so prevalent today.
But seeing all the outrage on social media, we’re not surprised officials had the “primal urge” to pull the plug on the film’s premiere.
At least Cold Pursuit is still getting a ton of press…
