Liam Payne‘s alcohol concentration levels at the time of his death in October have been released. According to a new report from The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 14 on Friday, the One Direction singer had a concentration of up to 2.7 grams per liter in his blood when he fell from his hotel balcony in Argentina while intoxicated.

For reference, this is scarily close to a fatal dose! Alcohol.org notes that this amount equals a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27% — which can cause severe symptoms such as confusion, disorientation, and feeling dazed. Just a few points more — 0.3% and higher — can lead to alcohol poisoning while a reading of 0.4% can be fatal. Jeez.
The Strip That Down crooner also had several other substances in his system at the time of his death, including “cocaine metabolites, methylecgonine, benzoylecgonine, cocaethylene, and the medication sertraline.” Just heartbreaking.
As previously reported, the 31-year-old’s cause of death was listed as “polytrauma,” which describes someone who suffered traumatic injuries to “multiple organs or systems,” per the National Library of Medicine. An investigation is still ongoing to hold people responsible for his death.
