Liam Payne Heartbreakingly Sang About Having ‘No Way Out’ On Unreleased 2nd Album

Liam Payne’s unreleased music gives tragic insight into what he was going through in the months leading up to his tragic death.

As the world continues to mourn the One Direction alum, we’re hearing details about some of his unreleased music… And it sounds like it was shaping up to be some of his most emotionally raw stuff yet. On Friday, The US Sun revealed a lyrical snippet from one of Liam’s unreleased tracks — which seemingly has to do with his mental health and him feeling like he had “no way out.” The lyrics go:

“Everyone is talking. I can’t process this now, I got no way out, no way out. I still got a heavy weight on my back. Wish that I could brush it off just like that.”

Poor, poor Liam. He fought demons for so many years and clearly still had a lot to grapple with. The lyrics about having “no way out” certainly become all the more haunting knowing the 31-year-old lost his life after jumping from his 4th story hotel balcony… Though the reason behind his jump remains unclear. But prior to that, it sounds like he was dedicated to brining fans his second studio album. A source told the outlet:

“Liam was always working on songs on his laptop and was in the process of setting up a home studio in Miami but the record was essentially done. Most of the tracks were heard by the label and played to his team. Lyrically it’s heavy but Liam was really proud of it and was keen to open up so others going through similar things didn’t feel alone.”

According to the source, the album could potentially be released posthumously by Liam’s former label Capitol Records. It was reportedly intended to come out earlier this year, but kept getting pushed as Liam struggled with his kidney health scare. As we know, he did, however, release the album’s lead single Teardrops in March.

Our hearts remain with the singer’s loved ones during this difficult time.
