Lisa Marie Presley’s posthumous memoir has a LOT of revelations — including a major one about her ex-husband Michael Jackson.
From Here to the Great Unknown officially hit bookshelves on Tuesday, and the shocking reveals are already pouring in. But they’re not just limited to the Presley family! During one section of the memoir, Lisa Marie discusses a trip she took to Las Vegas with the King of Pop in 1994 when she was still married to her then-husband Danny Keough. And it proved to be a very eye-opening trip indeed, as MJ confessed his love to her!! She wrote:
“Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children.’”
Um, wow!! That was pretty bold considering she was a married woman with two children! But the late Storm & Grace singer recalled feeling “flattered” by the reveal, since the feeling went both ways. She wrote:
“I didn’t say anything immediately, but then I said, ‘I’m really flattered, I can’t even talk.’ By then, I felt I was in love with him too.”
After the trip, she and Danny split up. And then, within weeks of finalizing their divorce, she married the Thriller singer in May of 1994…
But!! When it came time to consummate their marriage, Lisa Marie said Michael had a startling confession:
“He told me he was still a virgin.”
OMG!
Mind you, LMP was 25 at the time — while MJ was 35! She went on to reveal run-ins he had with other famous gals, who never were able to hit a home run with the Beat It singer:
“I think he had kissed Tatum O’Neal, and he’d had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn’t been physical apart from a kiss. He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened.”

All that is to say that there were a lot of nerves on Lisa Marie’s end after discovering Michael’s truth:
“I was terrified because I didn’t want to make the wrong move.”
While she didn’t make the details of their own physical relationship clear in her memoir, Lisa Marie and Michael went on to divorce in August of 1996 after just two years of marriage. Michael then passed away in 2009 — years before Lisa Marie did in 2023.
