Liza Minnelli Breaks Her Wrist! Still Performs At Breast Cancer Benefit Concert!

The show must go on!!!

And, for a true professional like Liza Minnelli, she isn’t going to let something like a broken wrist keep her from hitting the stage!

Especially when it’s for such a great cause!

Last night, Liza was set to perform with her half sister Lorna Luft, who is currently battling breast cancer, at the Birdland jazz club in NYC to raise money for The Actors Fund’s Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative and Tower Cancer Research Foundation’s Dr. Philomena McAndrew Fund.

However, while rehearsing at home this weekend, the iconic performer somehow managed to break her wrist in three separate places! Ouchies!!!

Being the professional she is, Liza decided to perform through the pain and said that NOTHING was going to keep her from the event:

“Nothing was going to stop me from coming here tonight. Lorna asked me to be here and I wouldn’t let her down.”

Awww! How sweet!!

Last night marked the first time the sisters performed together in 20 years, and Liza showed support by wrapping up her injured wrist in a pink bandana, which you can see (above)!

Lorna continues to stay positive despite her current diagnosis, and it’s easy to see how she’s able to keep her head up with the support she’s getting!
