How lovely!
Earlier today, France paid tribute to legend Liza Minnelli by making her an officer in their Legion of Honor.
She was pinned with a “red-ribboned medal” by French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterand during what sounds like a beautiful ceremony.
Liza referred to the honor as “a dream come true” and she had the following to say to the attendees at her ceremony:
“Thank you for watching me, thank you for caring about me.”
Congratulations, Liza! A very well-deserved honor!
