Feeling maternal as hell?
Up until recently, Lizzo could’ve only imagined being a mother to her albums. But that changed after a breakup made her reconsider many things about her life — including her future family plans!
The 31-year-old singer made the confession in a new interview with The Sunday Times over the weekend, telling the outlet that having that “heartbreak experience” had made her a “different” person.

She explained:
“It’s different now. Like, my relationship with my family, I’m working on that. I open myself up to friendships. I open myself up to the idea of children, which is big for me, because my albums are my babies.”
Before the breakup, the Grammy winner was adamant that she’d have “no children” and “only two friends,” adding:
“As f**ked up as it sounds, I needed that heartbreak experience. I’m not sad, because I use the pain so constructively. The pain is human experience.”
She’s also not sad because, well, her music career is at an all-time high!
The Juice singer previously spoke with Us Weekly about how her life has changed since dropping the hit track last year. She said:
“Everything has been producing fruit and I’m just so honored. I’m really living in the moment and celebrating one toast at a time. … I don’t think anyone should ever expect fame. I don’t think that’s something people should live their lives trying to get, because it doesn’t really happen to too many people, and the fact that it’s happening right now is still kind of surreal to me.”
But she’s still having the time of her life — whether it’s hitting up red carpets, performing at awards shows, or being “petty” to her many haters!
Although the Hustlers star always has “the best comebacks for trolls” who try to tear her down, she doesn’t always “put them in their place” — because that would mean giving them exactly what they want: attention!

She told the mag:
“If I do it, I’m feeding the troll and giving it attention. Back in the day, I used to give trolls all the time, but now that I’ve got 4 million followers, man, [I’m not] gonna give somebody a check and 15 minutes of fame! I love being petty though!”
Hmmm… we wonder if that attitude will change like Lizzo’s attitude about starting a family has.
What do U think, Perezcious readers?
