Lori Loughlin Reportedly Wanted To Plead Guilty To Bribery Charges -- But Was Talked Out Of It!

Lori Loughlin not guilty plea bribery charges details

And to think, she almost pled guilty and put this whole thing behind her…

On Friday, we reported that Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were hit with additional bribery charges in the ongoing college admissions case, and ultimately chose to plead not guilty against those accusations, as well. But now, as we’re learning, it turns out things could have gone VERY differently for the Fuller House star if only she hadn’t listened to her hubby!

According to Us Weekly, when Loughlin received info about yesterday’s new bribery charges, she reportedly wanted to plead guilty and end the whole ordeal. It makes sense, after all; with the new charges added in to what she’s already facing, the TV actress could be looking at several decades in prison, if found guilty on all charges in court. Yikes…

But the outlet is now reporting that, according to an insider, Lori’s husband was instrumental in changing her mind and convincing her NOT to plead guilty and give in to the feds. The source revealed (below):

“Lori turned the corner and backed out of considering a guilty plea due to her husband’s insistence. She had been talking to her lawyers about it, but her friends and family were encouraging her to pursue a plea deal. She’s only listening to Mossimo though.”

Oh, boy…

Giannulli, who previously has apparently said that a guilty plea would “ruin both of their careers,” again appears to be the main driving force behind this idea that it’s wise to fight the feds on these charges. Maybe it is the smart thing to do — the government must make their case in a court of law, after all — but increasingly, especially in light of Felicity Huffman Macy‘s super-light prison sentence, it sure seems like Loughlin would’ve done well to plead out and get it all over with ASAP.

Now, on the flip side, the fact that the government is adding additional charges to their count against the TV star might indicate they recognize their case is weak, and so Loughlin and Giannulli have the potential to walk away scot-free. That’s a big, big risk, though… isn’t it??

What do y’all think about it, Perezcious readers?! Would you plead guilty in this scenario, or try to fight it and clear your good name?? Sound OFF about everything in the comments (below)…
