Bob Saget Offers Undying Support For Lori Loughlin Amid College Admissions Scandal: 'I Don't Cut People Out'

Bob Saget still has love for Lori Loughlin.

Bob Saget is still giving Lori Loughlin a hand to hold on to as she faces more charges for her alleged participation in the college admissions scandal.

After keeping tight lipped about his costar’s ongoing legal drama for the past several months, the Fuller House addressed the scandal in an interview with Fox News — and his take on it is basically, well… s**t happens.

The 63-year-old comedian had only positive things to say about Aunt Becky, telling the network:

“I love the people I love, and people go through life, and stuff happens. For a while, I was saying, ‘No comment,’ and now there’s just no point in talking about it because I’ve answered it. What I would say is, I love the people I love, and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years. I don’t cut people out.”

How Danny Tanner-esque of him!

The actor went on to say he’s not about to abandon Loughlin because he treasures the friendship they have, adding:

“I’ve never had any friends growing up. So, I’m lucky to have any in the first place.”

Awww. Sounds like there’s some stuff to unpack there, Bob.

But we’ll move on for now…

Saget was first asked about the scandal back in April on the Today show. At the time, he simply stated he was “under-qualified” to comment, explaining:

“I love her. It’s a strange time. What do you say?”

The actor later offered his support to the mother-of-two during an appearance on People Now that same month, telling the hosts:

“There’s 30 years of love there. More than that. So that’s all I got. I love her very much. And that’s it.”

Clearly, it’s gonna take more than a few criminal charges for Saget to ghost his friends.

As we reported, Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were slapped with additional charges last week when the US Department of Justice said the couple and nine other defendants “conspired to commit federal program bribery by bribing employees of USC to facilitate their children’s admission.”

They now face one count each of conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery, in addition to their previous charges of money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and honest services mail and wire fraud.

The couple, who previously faced up to 40 years in prison, are currently awaiting their trial after pleading not guilty. It’s unclear when they will enter a plea to the latest charge — but no matter what goes down, were sure Bob will have their backs.
