Candace Cameron Bure Sends Thoughts & Prayers To Lori Loughlin Amid College Bribery Scandal

Candace Cameron Bure supports Lori Louglin amid scandal

When Lori Loughlin is lost out there and all alone, she still has her Fuller House family to lean on. Well, some of them at least.
In an appearance on the Today show Tuesday, Candace Cameron Bure pledged her unflinching support for her embattled costar as Loughlin experiences personal, financial, and professional fallout from her alleged involvement in the massive college admissions bribery scandal.

Being careful with her words, the 42-year-old actress confessed she would never want to discuss the personal matters of such a “close friend” on national television, but insisted that she and the rest of the cast will “always be there for each other” when times get tough, explaining:

“It’s too personal to us and we would never want to talk about someone that’s such a dear and close friend. I’ve already said that we are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and we’ll always be there for each other.”

The statement echoes the message of support Bure offered last month while accepting an award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
As we reported, the mother-of-three was standing alongside costars Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin when she told the crowd that family sticks “together through the hard times,” adding:

“And where there’s a lot of heart, there’s a lot of love. And a loving family sticks together no matter what.

In other words: everywhere you look, there’s a heart, there’s a heart.
Loughlin could use a few of those right about now, seeing as most of the actress’s friends have reportedly distanced themselves from her and husband Mossimo Giannulli since they were indicted as part of an alleged nationwide scheme.

The 54-year-old and her fashion designer hubby have been accused of paying $500,000 to have their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, designated as recruits for the USC crew team despite the fact that neither had ever played the sport.
The couple have been laying low since they were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud last month. In addition to losing friends, the actress has also been losing jobs.
Weeks after the scandal broke, Loughlin was dropped from all Hallmark Channel productions, with the network saying in a statement that it is “saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations.”
Netflix has not made an official statement regarding Lori’s future on Fuller House, but production sources have claimed that she will not return for the show’s upcoming fifth season, which has yet to be filmed.
