Louisiana Shooting Spree Leaves Suspect's Parents & 3 Others Dead, Shooter Still At Large

Authorities are on the hunt for a 21-year-old Louisiana man following two shootings that led to the deaths of his parents and three others.
Dakota Theriot (pictured above) has been accused by police of killing his parents, Elizabeth and Keith Theriot, in the town of Gonzalez.
Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre said at a press conference that the Theroits were alive Saturday morning when cops arrived at their home and were able to identify their son as the shooter before being transported to a hospital in Baton Rouge, where they later died.

The suspect has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, illegal use of weapons and home invasion. According to Webre, Theriot lived with his parents “for a brief period of time but was recently asked to leave the residence and not to return.”
Theriot is also suspected of killing three more people near Livingston Parish; Billy Ernest, 43, Summer Ernest, 20, and 17-year-old Tanner Ernest, were found dead Saturday morning.
Investigators believe the two crimes are connected, and were motivated by a domestic dispute involving Theriot’s girlfriend, Summer.
As of this writing, the suspect still remains at large — and he’s said to be “armed and dangerous.”
