Love Is Blind Faves Taylor & Garrett ‘Were Not Attracted To Each Other’ When They First Met Outside The Pods!

Turns out Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans did not feel the spark the first time they met!

The two met inside the pods during Season 7 of Love Is Blind. They fell in love and got engaged — all without physically seeing each other. It wasn’t until Taylor said yes after Garrett proposed that they finally met in person. And apparently when the big reveal happened… they weren’t attracted to each other! Oh no!

Taylor made the unfortunate admission on The Viall Files podcast on Wednesday, which — spoiler alert for how things turned out — is their first wedding anniversary, btw. She said:

“To be completely honest, Garrett and I were not attracted to each other at first. We were really in love with each other.”

According to the reality star, the lack of attraction was not because she didn’t think Garrett was “good-looking” or vice versa. They just became very overwhelmed by the process. Taylor explained:

“It’s because your brain just explodes when you do the reveal. For 10 days of falling in love with someone by just talking about things, and then you don’t really build up an image in your mind. Then, the doors open and there’s, like, 70 cameras on you. You’re excited, your adrenaline’s rushing but you’re still like, ‘What just happened to me?’”

It must be a lot to experience in just less than two weeks! We bet the whole thing is jarring the second the cast steps out of the pods. Once the initial shock wore off, and they processed their engagement though? The couple was back on track! Taylor realized Garrett was “really hot” during the cast trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Garrett — who also appeared on the podcast — shared that the feeling was “100 percent” mutual. For his part, he remembered he was “melting down” on reveal day, too:

“My nerves were in a million pieces. The reveal comes and [I] saw Taylor and I was just like, ‘Oh, hi, you’re beautiful and all this and that.’ Then you get out of there and you’re just, like, in a daze. … And this is everybody [on the show].”

In Mexico, Garrett quickly knew he was attracted to Taylor and could not believe he ever questioned it! He said:

“I was like, ‘God, what was I freaking thinking? This is crazy. I’m in love.’ I’m not gonna lie, I was just trying to kill the awkwardness with kisses.”

Oh right! They fell in love without ever touching either! Cray!

From there, the couple’s connection only continued to grow. Garrett and Taylor became one of the two couples to get married during the season finale. Now, the pair are ready to start the next “chapter” in their lives. They are currently dividing their time between their respective hometowns in Virginia and California and plan to move to Washington DC next:

“We’re very excited about going and just exploring [the city]. We’re just excited about starting our own chapter, our own lives in D.C. and seeing where that takes us.”

Good for them! We’re so glad they got over that initial hurdle in their relationship because this is one Love Is Blind couple we really want to make it!
