It might seem like bad news, but from we’ve heard, the show could use some tweaking.
The West End production of Love Never Dies is scheduled to go dark for four performances come this November. The sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s long-running musical Phantom of the Opera will take a hiatus from the 22nd to the 25th in order to bring in the new changes to the script and lyrics developed for the Australian preview. We’re told most of the changes will occur int eh “problematic” first act.
Hopefully, by the time it reaches us, it will be as perfect as Phantom. (Hopefully, but doubtfully.)
