The odds of that shot going in must have been astronomical!
Hockey fan Richard Marsh was chosen to take a shot from the other side of the rink on Saturday night at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis.
Before he took the shot, Marsh was given the opportunity to take $50,000 for himself, or donate it to charity. The money would be donated by Allstate insurance, and Marsh chose to give it to charity.
Unfortunately, even though Marsh made the shot, he wasn’t standing behind the correct line, so Allstate said the shot didn’t count. The bright side is that the Indiana Ice owners made a donation (of an undisclosed amount) for him anyway.
Crazy shot, happy ending!
