Lunch Tips!

No Cake

All meals are important, including lunch! Deciding to skip lunch — or to go to fast food — could be a disaster for your diet and all the hard work you’re putting in to staying healthy!

Don’t Skip Breakfast

People have been saying it for years — if you want to stay healthy, eat your breakfast! No exceptions!

Breakfast isn’t called the most important meal of the day for no reason- skipping it would only make
you feel tired, weak and lead to overeating later in the day. Why starve yourself and slow down your
metabolism? Stick with a healthy low calorie breakfast of fruit, oatmeal or a boiled egg.

Bring Your Own Lunch

Brown bag it, guys! Use that extra money you save to buy something awesome, like a sword or some new shoes. Ha!

Instead of wasting your money dining out on calories you don’t need, spend your lunch eating
something healthy you’ve brought from home. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated or
embarrassing, just stick with a salad and some healthy snacks to get you through your day. Ideally you
should bring snacks like nuts and fruit for around 10:30am and 3pm to curb your appetite to prevent
binge eating as well as to maintain your metabolism.

Say No to Cake

The cake is a lie! Even if it’s super delicious, it’ll never be healthy enough to justify!

At some offices it might seem like every day is someone’s birthday or retirement party. Just because
there’s cake doesn’t mean you have to partake. Use this time to have a cup of coffee or if you are really
have trouble resisting the urge organize your day so your lunch break is generally around the time cake
is served.

Stay Hydrated

Not only is this an easy way to keep feeling full, but it’s a sneaky way to keep having to take breaks — even if they are bathroom breaks!

Drinking water and tea all day will keep you feeling energized and make you feel full, not to mention
help maintain your body temperature and help with digestion. For those really dedicated to losing
weight: You can burn almost 100 calories just by drinking 2L of cold water a day!

Hope this helps some of you! Good luck on your healthy journey!
