L’Wren Scott is being sued by another designer and it’s all over the name ‘Lula’.
In the lawsuit filed by Angelica Cota the LuLa handbags designer claims Scott’s own ‘Lula’ handbag line is infringing on her trademark.
The California-based designer wants L’Wren to stop using to name because it’s causing confusion and pay her more than $75,000 in damages.
We think this is going to be an uphill battle for Angelica. For one thing, L’Wren Scott named the bag after her mother. Also, Cota’s LuLa handbags are sold mostly through her website and stores like Nordstrom while Scott’s are exclusive to Barneys.
