More newly revealed text messages show just how volatile the relationship between Mackenzie Shirilla and Dominic Russo got before the fatal car crash!
According to TMZ on Wednesday, law enforcement released new texts from the couple, including one in which Mackenzie accused Dominic of trying to kill her during a fight on July 18, 2022! Police say the pair got into a heated argument while she was driving erratically weeks before she killed him and his friend Davion Flanagan. And while texting, Mackenzie claimed Dominic attempted to harm her by saying:
“Do you think I would have my car started with you in it knowing that you just tried to kill me”

She added:
“I’m very OK and you trying to kill me again”
Whoa!
There are no other details about the accusation, but she went on to demand that Dominic come outside and explain why he loves her before she breaks up with him:
“You better come inside my car ready to give three reasons why I should be in this relationship with you and three reasons on why are you love me”
“You better come ready to prove to me that you’re worthy”
Mackenzie also dragged Davion into the fight at one point, demanding to know why he “unadded” her all of a sudden.
The messages came shortly after Dominic actually tried calling it quits with Mackenzie! On July 2, he texted her that they need to take time apart because he felt life is too short to be constantly fighting and breaking up:
“Kenzie u know i love u but i dont think we should be together at this point there isnt very much time on earth. yaknow id like to think we could stop fighting but its a breakup fight everyweek neither of us deserve that i dont wanna fight all the time ik u dont either anyone whos around everyday of the week is bound to fight if we cant separate for a little then we are only going to fight more i dont want u to think im abandoning u i wish it could work but i dont think its going to at this point especially with the threats we should just breakup so we can both fimd happiness somewhere else.”
Well, it appears the split didn’t stick since they continued to text and see each other afterward…
The text is also incredibly chilling because we all know what happened only four weeks later! Sadly, his life, along with Davion’s, was cut too short after Mackenzie intentionally drove 100 mph into a brick wall without ever pressing the brakes in Strongsville, Ohio. She has insisted the crash was nothing more than an accident because she passed out at the wheel due to her POTS condition. However, she ended up being found guilty and sentenced to two concurrent life sentences with the possibility of parole after 15 years.
