What what, what. What. What, what, what… the f*ck!?
This is NOT f*cking awesome!
We can’t imagine how anyone would ever tire of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ Thrift Shop!
It’s one of the catchiest songs of 2013 (though many radio lovers have been jammin’ to it since 2012), and yeah — it might be a little overplayed now, but for good reason!
It certainly doesn’t excuse assault, that’s for sure!
But try telling that to Samantha Malson. The 23-year-old nursing assistant was arrested by Longmont police after allegedly choking and pushing her boyfriend around after he wouldn’t stop singing those damn lyrics!
The chaotic Colorado showdown happened Saturday night, on the boyfriend’s 26th birthday!!
According to the police report, Samantha and Lars Hansen (the victim) got drunk and found themselves in a tizzy when “Hansen accused Malson of consuming all the alcohol in the house.”
Samantha left the house for a bit, maybe to cool down, but when she returned, she began listening to Thrift Shop, “which Hansen was singing while laying on the couch.”
Apparently he didn’t stop either because she says she asked him to stop 25 times before taking matters into her own hands — literally!!
She confessed:
“He just annoyed me I grabbed him around the throat. I did it for intimidation.”
Ugh… that’s fifty dollars for a t-shirt f*cked up!
Samantha was arrested and charged on harassment, domestic violence, and assault (see mugshot below).
No word on whether or not their relationship will survive this abuse (hopefully not), but we think Lars should be free to bump that swaggalicious muzak whenever he wants!!
