Madonna Felt Like A Prisoner During Her Marriage With Guy Ritchie! She's Spilling Revealing Deets About Her Relationship HERE!

Madonna once sang Express Yourself, but apparently during her relationship with Guy Ritchie, those words fell on deaf ears.
In a telling interview with The Sun, the 56-year-old reveals that she felt artistically stifled in her second marriage with the British director.

She confesses:

“I did find myself sometimes in a state of conflict. There were many times when I wanted to express myself as an artist in ways that I don’t think my ex-husband felt comfortable with├óΓé¼┬ª There were times when I felt incarcerated. I wasn’t really allowed to be myself.”

While the Material Girl doesn’t go into detail regarding how she felt trapped in the seven-and-a-half year marriage, her music and PR choices during this period were relatively tame compared to the controversial stunts she performed earlier in her career.
However, the Rebel Heart singer agrees that sacrifice is integral to any union.
She explains:

“‘I think when you get married you have to be willing to make a lot of compromises and that’s fair enough. I think that’s the way it goes in relationships.”

We’re just glad Madonna is now able to express herself however way she feels!
