Madonna is planning to relocate soon. Not to another country again, just on over to the Upper East Side in New York City, which can oftentimes feel like another country!
According to reports, her Madgesty has just signed a contract to buy a four-story Georgian-style townhouse located on East 81st Street.
The price? Just a mere $40 million sources say, about $5M below asking price too.
That’s chump change for Madge!
The pad has it’s pros and cons. On the negative? It’s located near the Lexington Ave subway and some visitors complained they could hear and feel the trains coming through.
On the plus side, though, the mansion has over 20 rooms!!!! It has 13 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and even a wine cellar with a grotto. Not to mention a 3,000 square-foot garden, two-car garage, nine fireplaces, and an elevator.
Oh, and Madge isn’t even moving in yet. She’s going to give the whole place a makeover and renovate it all before moving in.
Sources add that “The townhouse is perfect for Madonna. She’s trying to recreate London in New York City, and this is in the style of a London townhouse.”
Sad to think the Malawian government would rather have little Mercy James live in an orphanage than in luxury with Madge.
