12 Days of Perezmas: 2 Major Royal Moments!

royal family 2018
On the second day of Perezmas, pop culture gave to us… TWO major Royal moments!!!
Our favorite Royal family across the pond had themselves quite the year! Here are two major Royal moments that we, and surely Queen Elizabeth II, are thankful for in 2018:
Prince William & Kate Middleton Welcome Their Third Child Prince Louis! – April 23, 2018
Prince William Kate Middleton Prince Louis
This year, the Royal Family welcomed a new bundle of joy! His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge was born on April 23, 2018 to proud parents Prince William and Kate Middleton at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, weighing 8lbs 7oz.
As the third child of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, he is fifth in line to the throne. The little one has an older sister in Princess Charlotte, 3, and big brother in Prince George, 5. When the proud parents first got married in 2011, they made it clear that having children was their number one priority. Seven years and three children later, it’s safe to say William and Kate are certainly making good on that promise. Can we expect another child in the near future?!
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Epic Wedding – May 19, 2018
Prince Harry Meghan Markle
A MAJOR royal moment, indeed! What started out as a blind date set up by a mutual friend became a year and a half long whirlwind romance that made headlines, shook up Royal family rules and all culminated to this: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially tie the knot!
The practically perfect wedding took place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, UK. It seemed as though the whole world was watching, with a reported approx. 29.2 million viewers tuning into the live-broadcasted historic event. Poised high-profile celebrity guests came through in their Sunday’s best, including Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian and Elton John.
This modern-day royal romance and fairytale wedding will no doubt have a lasting effect on the British family’s worldwide perception. Let’s be honest: seeing the first half-black, American actress and divorcee join the Royal family is something we’re not likely to forget in this lifetime! Despite the drama that has unfolded with Meghan’s family since that joyous day, things are still looking up for the happy couple — as they’re expecting their first child together in 2019. Yay!
