Man Gets 4 Years In Prison For Facebook Stalking

Yucky!

A California man was sentenced to prison for four years after he was caught stalking women’s Facebook pages to search for clues to take over their email accounts.

George Bronk would search their emails, looking for nude or semi-nude photos or videos sent to their husbands or boyfriends.

“This case serves as a stark example of what occurs in so-called cyberspace. It has very real consequences,” Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Lawrence Brown said. “The intrusion of one’s profile is no different than intruding one’s home.”

Bronk pleaded guilty to charges such as computer intrusion, false impersonation and possession of child pornography. His own lawyer said that he took responsibility for his actions, but showed no remorse. She was hoping for a more lenient sentencing of one year in jail.

Ew, totally creepy and gross. Four years may seem like a harsh sentence, but hacking emails is such a violation of privacy. Good riddance.
