A shark attack is a huge fear of many divers.
Near Perth, Australia diving guide, Elyse Frankcom was faced with this very situation.
She got bit on the thigh and buttocks by a large shark, however to stop the attack, another swimmer pulled the tail of the shark and it let go!
Elyse started to sink but this unknown swimmer grabbed her and brought her back to the boat…what a good samaritan!
The 10 foot shark is thought to be either a great white or a whaler shark.
This is frightening, but at least Elyse is in stable condition.
Now we know, if faced with a shark, yank the tail!!
