This is some SERIOUS bullshizz!
Just when we thought all the Manti Te’o craziness was over, we’re now hearing that because of the whole mess that NFL teams are now straight up asking recruits whether or not they like girls… like it f***ing matters!
Nick Kasa, the tight end for Colorado University, is being evaluated by NFL teams and scouts. He says they’ve been grilling him about his sexuality, like it has something to do with how well he can play football! Here’s what he said:
“[They would] ask you like, ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ Are you married?’ Do you like girls?’ Those kinds of things, and you know it was just kind of weird. But they would ask you with a straight face, and it’s a pretty weird experience altogether.”
Sounds like it!
And we’re SUPER glad you aren’t keeping it to yourself!
Here’s what an NBC sports analyst said this week even before Nick spoke up:
“Here’s the elephant in the room for the teams and it shouldn’t matter, but we have to step aside from the rest of reality and walk into the unique industry that is the NFL. Teams want to know whether Manti Te’o is gay. They just want to know. They want to know because in an NFL locker room, it’s a different world. It shouldn’t be that way.”
BARF.
All of this homophobia need to end RIGHT. NOW.
Being gay has no bearing on your ability to play the sport, be a friend, and be an amazing teammate. It’s time to move on!
