This is so sad to hear.
48-year-old Manuel Uribe, the former record holder for world’s heaviest man, died on Monday. His death was confirmed by health officials in his home of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Although doctors have not revealed the official cause of death, Manuel was reportedly taken to the hospital on May 2nd for an irregular heartbeat. Weighing in at approximately 867 pounds, he had to be taken to the hospital by a crane.
It is also believed he may have suffered from liver problems.
Manuel set the Guinness World Record for wold’s heaviest man in 2006 when he weighed 1,230 pounds. Two years later he married his longtime girlfriend Claudia Solis.
