Marc Anthony Joins Ex J.Lo In Calling Out Donald Trump For Puerto Rico Comment At Rally!

Marc Anthony is following in the footsteps of his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez after the racist comments made at Donald Trump’s rally over the weekend.

As Perezcious readers know, the candidate/convicted felon invited comic Tony Hinchcliffe to speak at his Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday. The comedian spewed a vile “joke” about Puerto Rico:

“I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

Disgusting. Since then, hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans have reacted to the horrible hate displayed at the rally, including some of the biggest names in music — like Ricky Martin and Bad Bunny. J.Lo, whose parents were born in Puerto Rico, posted about it — and is reportedly going to start campaigning with Kamala Harris! We’re hearing she’ll be attending Kamala’s rally in Las Vegas on Thursday — a big deal considering Nevada is a swing state! Seriously, Trump’s own rally has created a huge surge against him in the Latino community.

Now, Marc is adding his name to the list of pissed off Puerto Ricans. Just one day after the rally, the 56-year-old singer posted a video to Instagram endorsing Kamala. While he doesn’t mention Hinchcliffe by name, there’s no denying this post was a response to it. He says:

“Even though some have forgotten, I remember what it was like when Trump was president. I remember what he did and said about Puerto Rico… About our people… I remember after Hurricane Maria devastated our island… Trump blocked billions in relief while thousands died. I remember that when our families lacked clean water and electricity, Trump threw paper towels and called Puerto Rico ‘dirty’ and “poor.” I was not surprised because I ALSO remember he launched his campaign by calling Latinos criminals and rapists. He’s told us what he’ll do. He’ll separate children from their families and threatened to use the ARMY to do it.”

Marc went on to stress that “this election goes way beyond political parties,” adding:

“Let’s remember what the United States represents and stands for – united, regardless of where we’re from. I’m Marc Anthony… I remember… And that’s why I support Kamala Harris for President.”

Marc and others in the Puerto Rican community undoubtedly will always “remember” that awful moment at the Trump rally. Watch the video (below):
