Apparently, Maren Morris‘ first relationship with a woman was not a great experience…
The 36-year-old country music star, who came out two years ago, took to TikTok this week to respond to a fan comment asking her to detail her “bisexual journey,” which she describes as “pretty short.” And it’s all because of a nightmare ex! Maren explained in a since-deleted video:
“I briefly was seeing a woman, and I was not looking for anything serious. I feel like I’m at a point in my life right now where I don’t have that to give. I was very clear about that because I’m all about communication, and she was like, ‘Oh, totally. I’m down.'”

However, The Middle singer quickly realized “that was not the case.” She continued:
“I’m not kidding, within like, three weeks of this completely falling apart, it was lies, threats to my reputation, and borderline extortion.”
OMG?!?!
Maren did not get into specific details about what happened, but she did share with fans that she was disappointed by the situation to the point where it stopped her from getting into another relationship with anyone else. Following the fling, she decided she is “just really cool being alone” now. The 80s Mercedes artist added:
“It was pretty f**ked up. And for that to be my first experience, it was just so depressing.”
Aww! According to Maren, when she talked to her friends in the lesbian community about the experience, they all said it was “very normal.” Yeesh. She recalled:
“‘You start seeing women and one is going to almost ruin your life. We’ve all been there. You just have to push through.'”
In total disbelief, Maren then asked her followers:
“Is that a thing?”
The journey to find love, unfortunately, is not easy! But fingers crossed that if Maren gets back out there again, her experience is 100 times better than this one!
