Is Mariah Carey about to be free as a bird??
Rumor is she just might, because her relationship with Island Def Jam is apparently feeling a little strained these days.
We already know her album release has been delayed, and while she claims it’s because she wants it to be flawless, that might now be the exact reason.
She’s apparently feeling a little neglected these days by IDJ after releasing her first single #Beautiful, which we hear wasn’t promoted up to her standards. And it sounds like Kanye West might be partially to blame for this!
You see, Perezcious readers, Yeezy’s album Yeezus was apparently taking over everyone’s time what with legal issues and last minute changes, and it sounds like poor lil’ Mariah might have been placed on the backburner…
…which is NOT a spot Mariah likes!
There are now rumors that after The Art of Letting Go is released, Mariah might be parting ways with IDJ.
But, of course, Mariah’s rep is singing a different tune:
“Mariah couldn├óΓé¼Γäót be happier with the support from the label and is looking forward to finishing and releasing her record.”
Well, whatever happens with Mariah, we’ll follow her anywhere she goes!
