Setting the record straight!
On Thursday, Marie Osmond took to Twitter to clarify that, despite her neutral stance about Donald Trump‘s upcoming inauguration, she has NO intention of performing at the political event. Sorry, Drumpf!

The Donnie & Marie star posted:

Although, Miz Osmond should understand why SO many people thought she was volunteering to perform as she told Yahoo Finance earlier this week:

“…when it comes to our country, I think we need to unite. And to not support our president, I think, is wrong. I think we should all support our president whether we’re happy or sad. This is America. We should come together and I think an inauguration should be a time to unite, it really should.”

We don’t agree, but, whatever. The Trumpster’s famously had a hard time locking down an A-list star to perform at his inauguration as Celine Dion, Charlotte Church, and countless others have turned down offers to sing!
However, not every star has abandoned the President-elect on his big day. And no, we’re not talking about Jackie Evancho or Paul Anka.
Boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. (who ALSO has a long history of domestic violence) is all set to attend Donald’s ascension to the presidency on January 20. While chatting with TMZ, the 39-year-old revealed he’s been friendly with the controversial politician for some time now. According to Floyd, Trump was there for him amid his Manny Pacquiao fight and he really appreciated that. We’re sure Trump is happy to have him in his corner, but we wouldn’t care to have such a controversial boxer backing us.
Mayweather stayed pretty neutral about his politics as he praised both Barack Obama and the former Celebrity Apprentice star. He told the media outlet:

“Barack Obama was a good president and hopefully, Donald Trump is a good president… We don’t know what can happen in life. Only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed, pray and hope for the best.”

Huh. While we’re not loving Floyd’s stance on Donald, we are interested in the Chris Brown v. Soulja Boy fight he is organizing.
What do YOU think? Will a TRUE A-lister pop up on inauguration day?
