It was a record breaking weekend at Debbie Reynolds‘ Hollywood memorabilia auction on Saturday.
One of the most coveted items up for grabs was Marilyn Monroe‘s white dress worn in The Seven Year Itch, which finally sold for an astounding $5.6 million after a 20 minute bidding war.
Dayum!!!
The winning bid also shattered the previous record for a Marilyn dress. In 1999 the famous blonde’s sheer white dress she wore while singing Happy Birthday to JFK sold for a mere $1.26 million.
Congrats to the winner!
