If you’ve seen Marion Cotillard in such blockbusters as Inception and The Dark Knight Rises, you’d agree that the classy and beautiful leading lady sure knows how to speak in a believable American accent.
However, the French actress admitted to sources that she didn’t study the English language seriously until she was offered some heavy-hitting Hollywood roles.
After winning the Oscar for La Vie En Rose Marion explains:
├óΓé¼┼ôI was in Los Angeles in 2008, and I met with Michael Mann and he – we did this movie together, I really had to work on my American accent. And I worked for four months, every day, with a dialect coach, and I improved my English a lot. I still have a lot of work, but I feel much more comfortable than a few years ago when I got here and I couldn’t express myself properly.”
See kids?! Marion proves that whatever you set your mind to, you can master! And being such a hard worker is what makes us love her!
We adore her so much that even though it doesn’t show how great she is at pretending to be American, we can’t wait to see her in the new gritty French film, Rust and Bone!!!
