Mary-Kate Olsen's Request For Emergency Divorce Rejected! Here's Why

Mary-Kate Olsen's emergency divorce filing rejected

Looks like Mary-Kate Olsen has no choice but to have a regular, drawn-out divorce, because her request for an emergency order to file for divorce from husband Olivier Sarkozy was denied!

As we reported, the Full House alum requested the emergency order because courts are closed in New York during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But, according to reports, the former actress’ request was turned down by a New York State Supreme Court judge on Thursday, who reportedly felt the matter was “not essential.”

New York courts spokesman Lucian Chalfen told People that Olsen’s original filing was rejected by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Katz because the “essential matter procedure” wasn’t followed, so she “refiled under the essential matter procedure.” Unfortunately, the judge the case was referred to “decided that it is not essential,” Chalfen said, so Ashley Olsen‘s sister “can’t file anything at this point.”

That’s definitely not great news for the fashion mogul, who is reportedly facing being kicked out of her NYC apartment after Sarkozy allegedly terminated their lease without her knowing.

Stressful times for MK during these already stressful times!

We’ll keep you updated as more developments come to light. Buckle up, Perezcious readers, this sounds like it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
