Matt Damon Agrees He Should 'Close His Mouth For A While' While Apologizing For Those Controversial Sexual Misconduct Comments!

is regretting making those controversial statements while commenting on the sexual misconduct scandals rocking Hollywood.
As we reported, while speaking with ABC NewsPeter Travers about the post-Harvey Weinstein era that is currently upon us, the A-lister then insisted that there is a “spectrum of behavior” and suggested that not all misconduct should be treated the same. As a result, the 47-year-old was dragged by the likes of Alyssa Milano and his ex Minnie Driver.
On Tuesday, the Downsizing star appeared on the Today show, where host Kathie Lee Gifford gave him an opportunity to explain what he’s learned since the backlash.

The father of four replied:

“Boy, I really wish I’d listened a lot more before I weighed in on this … Ultimately what it is for me is that I don’t want to further anybody’s pain. With anything that I do or say, so for that I’m really sorry.”

He continued:

“And Time’s Up, a lot of those women are my dear friends and I love them and respect them and support what they’re doing and want to be a part of that change and want to go along for the ride, but I should get in the back seat and close my mouth for a while.”
