Talk about an effing GUEST LIST!
We knew that Matt Damon‘s plan to renew his wedding vows with his wife of eight years, Luciana Barroso, was going to be a massive affair when we discovered that the actor had spent a cool $600,000 to rent out the entire five-star Sugar Beach resort on the isle of St Lucia, but now that the big day is upon us, it seems he spared no expense…because of the many famous friends traveling down there to partake in the ceremony!
According to reports from the Caribbean locale, there’s been a caravan of SUVs hard at work ferrying guests from the airport to the hotel, and while we’ve already reported that Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and George Clooney are in attendance, it appears that one of the private planes that recently landed belongs to Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is married to the actor’s Behind the Candelabra co-star Michael Douglas!
Furthermore, Stanley Tucci, who is married the sister of Matt’s good friend Emily Blunt, has ALSO been spotted in the area!
And we’re hearing rumblings that even Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may even make their way down!
But according to Karolin Troubetzkoy, president of the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association, despite the insane amount of A-List talent accumulating for the big event, there’s very little chance any more information will leak to the public!
He explains:
“In a case like with Matt Damon, you will see that even our Marine Police gets involved to ensure that no unauthorized boats can approach the resort beach. Naturally in this day and age you never know who has a cell phone and who make take unauthorized photographs but I would imagine the resorts would have very strict rules in place. It will be a matter of great pride to the St. Lucian staff here to look after the Matt Damon renewal-of-vows party. Considering that pretty much everyone has a friend or relative working in the various resorts, it is amazing how very little gets out.”
Well yay for them! But BOO for all of us!
Is everyone absolutely CERTAIN that this isn’t just a cover for the production of a new Ocean’s 11 movie?! LOLz!
