Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are closer to calling things off than ever before…
After weeks of trying to mend things with couples therapy, they have reportedly given up on the hard work — and instead have decided to take a break! Via an Us Weekly source on Wednesday, the Jennifer’s Body actress and Bloody Valentine rapper (born Colson Baker) have decided to go their separate ways… at least for a trial period. The insider explained:
“Megan and MGK are currently on a break but are still in contact. They are very hot and cold.”
Well, we knew they were hot. It sounds like they’re all the way cold at the moment.
Sounds like all their reconciliation efforts were a bust… Such a bummer.

While it’s a positive sign they’re still in touch with each other at all, don’t get your hopes up. Things have reached a standstill between the couple — causing their future plans together to be put on hold, as the confidant continued:
“They have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues. Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. They are currently off, but still texting each other.”
“Volatile” is obvi bad but sounds like something at least. “Currently off” sounds like they’re broken up! At least for now…
Oof. While this seemed inevitable given everything we’ve heard so far, it’s sad to hear they’ve reached this point!
As Perezcious readers know, the (former?) lovebirds began dating in 2020. They fell hard and fast for each other, leading to a January 2022 engagement. As a sign of their commitment at the time, the so-called twin flames even drank each other’s blood! That’s how head over heels they were! But after getting into “a big fight in Arizona” while attending the Super Bowl, per a previous Us source, nothing was the same.

In February, the actress sparked rumors Colson had cheated by sharing cryptic messages on Instagram after the couple’s rumored fight — messages referencing Beyoncé‘s Lemonade. Later, the mother of three denied the speculation and specifically cleared MGK’s guitarist Sophie Lloyd‘s name after social media users recklessly accused her of having an affair with the musician.
The Midnight in the Switchgrass co-stars then poured all their attention into daily therapy sessions to work through reported “trust issues” — but it doesn’t seem to have worked. Megan notably showed up to Vanity Fair‘s star-studded Oscars afterparty alone and without her engagement ring earlier this month. And now this. Could we be seeing the end of Megan and MGK?! If so they’re taking a lot longer to break up than they did to get together. Seems like a tough breakup.
