If you were one of the few hoping for Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly to work past their issues and rekindle their romance, you might not want to hold your breath…
By now you know, the (maybe former?) couple has been on the rocks since getting into a massive fight during Super Bowl weekend. It all started when the 36-year-old actress deleted all traces of MGK from her Instagram account and uploaded a video of an envelope burning in a fire pit with a caption of lyrics that alluded to cheating. Many people assumed that the singer had cheated on the Jennifer’s Body star, even claiming he did so with his guitarist Sophie Lloyd. But Megan later shut down the rumors that infidelity had been the cause of their relationship troubles. However, the breakup speculation continued to run rampant as she was spotted multiple times without her engagement and showed up at the Vanity Fair Oscars party without her beau.

Things haven’t been looking good for the duo, even as they’ve reportedly gone to daily therapy! And the most recent update we received about their relationship was that they decided to take a “break” and paused wedding planning for now. An Us Weekly insider said:
“Megan and MGK are currently on a break but are still in contact. They are very hot and cold. They have stalled wedding planning to work on their issues. Their relationship is pretty volatile at the moment. They are currently off, but still texting each other.”
However, it seems like the twosome could be throwing in the towel on their relationship officially. While Megan and the 32-year-old rapper are reportedly taking a breather right now, sources told People on Friday that they are “still working on their issues” in therapy – but the Transformers star is “having a hard time trusting” him:
“This is really boiling down to not working. There have been points where they haven’t been speaking, it’s been that bad.”
One insider noted that even though things have always been “tumultuous” between the two, Megan was all in on their relationship, which has “never been easy, it’s always been very up and down.” However, she supposedly had a sudden change of heart about MGK recently:
“Megan was thrilled when they got engaged, though. She really loves him. She was never one to casually date, so she put her whole heart into their relationship. She isn’t happy now, though. She took her engagement ring off a while ago, and it’s not back on.”
As for whether or not Megan and the musician will reconcile? It is unknown at this time – but the People insider shared that it is looking less likely now:
“Only time will tell if they get back together properly, but it looks pretty unlikely right now.”
