Megan Fox Slammed As 'Wretched' Casting Choice By Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Creator

How rude!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Peter Laird apparently hate, hate, hated the casting of Megan Fox in Michael Bay‘s upcoming film!
In fact, he thinks there are hundreds leading ladies more qualified to play April O’Neil!
We repeat: How rude!
Foxy Megan may not be as talented as, say, Marlon Brando or Meryl Streep, but one of them is livin’ it up in actor heaven and the other is busy sinking her hooks into Anchorman 2!
Mrs. O’Neil isn’t cinema’s most complex character, either. She’s a tough as nails investigative reporter who wears yellow and hangs with crime-fighting turtles who know ninjitsu!
Scarlett O’Hara she ain’t and we aren’t sure exactly who he expected the studio to cast!
You’ll do fine, Megan!
Just stay away from the Hitler jokes, mmmkay?
Read Peter’s blog commentary in its entirety (below):

My only exposure to Megan Fox as an actress is through her role in two “Transformers” movies and the wretched (but happily forgettable) “Jennifer’s Body”. It may not be fair to judge her range of acting skills just from those three movies, but I think it is safe to say that there are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O’Neil. Of course, her name has promotional value, and maybe that’s what they want. Who knows? I can’t get myself too worked up about it. — PL
