All eyes were on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as they stepped out for their first UK event together since announcing their intentions to lead a “financially independent” life.
As we previously shared, the twosome attended the Endeavour Fund Awards in London on Thursday evening ahead of a packed schedule of appearances before they jet back to Canada. Though it was great to see the pair back together again, one person who was sorely missed was baby Archie Harrison!

Much to the dismay of the royal fam, the little one stayed behind in their rented home in Canada under the watchful eye of a nanny and Meg’s BFF Jessica Mulroney while his parents tie up loose ends during their final UK visit before Megxit becomes official.
Though brief, we did get an update on the 10-month-old! An attendee of the event whose husband was nominated for an award opened up to Hello! about her conversation with the Duchess. Claire Spencer recalled:
“She said ‘oh yes, well he is ten months now and is into everything.'”
So sweet!!
Obviously, the royal fam is bound to be bummed on Archie not coming with his mum and dad to the UK, especially since he’s been gone for two months! An insider revealed to Us Weekly how his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II is deeply missing him:
“The queen’s worst fear is that she may never see Archie again. She’s trying to stay optimistic about this situation and would never stoop to casting any aspersions on Meghan’s character – even after everything that’s happened.”
Her Majesty isn’t the only one missing the youngest royal. Kate Middleton and Prince William are sad they won’t be seeing him, too! Not to mention his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis:
“The Cambridges respect that Harry and Meghan have a lot going on. But they feel family should come first.”
This comes after the 93-year-old sat down for a lengthy heart-to-heart with Harry prior to Meg’s arrival in the UK. A source explained to The Sun:
“It’s fair to say she is very upset about him and Meghan leaving and she would love to see more of Archie, as would Prince Charles and the rest of the family. But she accepts at the moment that his mind is made up and he intends to live in North America.”
We hope we get to catch a glimpse of Archie soon, but at this rate who knows when that may be!
